James Bartley

James was admitted to the NSW Supreme Court and High Court of Australia in 2011 after having completed his studies at the University of New England.

James initially commenced practice in regional NSW, before subsequently moving to Newcastle in 2012. He has extensive experience in personal injury claims and litigation having represented clients across NSW from all walks of life.

James regularly appears in State and Federal Courts and Tribunals having particular expertise in personal injury matters including:

  • Workers Compensation
  • Motor Vehicle Accidents
  • Public Liability
  • Medical Negligence
  • Superannuation (Total and Permanent Disablement)

James has experience in complex personal injury claims involving catastrophic injuries arising from workplace and motor vehicle accidents, and psychological injury including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

James understands that each person and their claim is unique, requiring comprehensive and personalised advice to ensure the best outcome is achieved. James is dedicated to assisting his clients with not only proven legal expertise and knowledge, but an ability to listen to (not just “hear”) his clients and their needs.

James is an active part of his community and current President of the Newcastle Law Society. He is a long suffering Parramatta Eels supporter.
